Mars Global Surveyor MAG/ER
MGS Overview
Mars Global Surveyor Magnetic Fields Data from Cruise
Here is an example of some data collected by the MGS magnetometer during
its cruise to Mars. The data was collected on day 100 (April 10) of 1997.
The sine waves are caused by the spin of the spacecraft in the
interplanetary magnetic field and illustrate the Array Normal Spin (ANS)
mode being used at this time.
